The working with expectant parents' guide equips child protection practitioners and care providers to support expectant parents in care, just as a good parent would.
For this guide, expectant parents are defined as ‘young people in care who are pregnant or who may be expecting a child with someone’ who may or may not be known to Child Protection or in care.
The guide includes all necessary practice considerations when working with expectant parents, prospective mothers and/or fathers, in care and aims to enhance practice and support with young people.
