Family law, information sharing
2854
This Information Sharing Protocol (Protocol) has been developed to support the clear and nationally consistent implementation of the National Strategic Framework for Information Sharing between the Family Law Courts and Family Violence and Child Protection Systems (the National Framework) through general guidance about key considerations.

This Protocol provides guidance to support the two-way flow of information between the family law courts, state and territory local, magistrates, children’s and district courts (state and territory courts), and those bodies prescribed in the Family Law Regulations 1984 (the Regulations) as provided by section 67ZBC of the Family Law Act 1975 (Cth) (FLA).

The information sharing protocol was endorsed by the Family Violence Working Group, a cross-jurisdictional sub-committee of the Standing Council of Attorneys-General, in April 2024.
