The Placement coordination and placement planning framework and manual are two key documents which provide a consistent approach for placement coordination and planning for children into care services for placement coordination practitioners. Developed in 2012, the documents were also intended to assist child protection practitioners to understand the role and function of placement coordination.
The framework outlines roles, functions and skills required of Placement Coordination Practitioners, as well as placement principles and placement matching factors.
The manual is to be used in conjunction with the framework and outlines the necessary processes, links to relevant policies, guidelines and other resources.
The cross-divisional placement guidelines are an appendix to the manual.
